At Ultra Motor Source, LLC we are an internet-based vintage/collector vehicle dealership, focusing predominately on classic motorcycles, but we also recondition some enthusiast cars too. We don’t just sell vehicles – we aim to preserve history and deliver fun & excitement to every customer when they invest in a piece of nostalgia. With a decade in the industry and having sold roughly a thousand thrilling machines, we have built a reputation as one of the nation’s leading web-based vintage motorcycle dealerships.In this role you will join our team of professional technicians and be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of the vehicles we restore, addressing mechanical and safety concerns as well as cleaning & detailing vehicles to prepare them for the sales team.
areas of responsibility:
- Using discernment and patience, clean and cosmetically restore vehicles and their components to prepare them for the sales team.
- Basic diagnosis and repair of vehicle inventory to achieve high standards of quality and safety.
- Responsible for select facility maintenance tasks such as work-space cleaning, basic lawn care, snow removal, and additional duties as requested.
A typical day in this role might include tasks like the following:
- Sand and refinish an exhaust muffler.
- Remove and clean the carburetors on a pair of Honda motorcycles.
- Ride a Vespa scooter to inspect its functionality.
- Buff and polish the engine and bodywork of four motorcycles.
- Sort and rearrange the electrical components section of the parts room.
physical demands:
- Use of hand & power tools, ability to move motorcycles and their components safely, ability to lift & carry up to 50lbs somewhat regularly.
- The work environment has occasional exposure to loud vehicles/noises, as well as chemicals and solvents.
- Select employee-only sections of the facility are accessed via stairs.
Requirements:
to qualify, you should be really good at:
- Loving dogs and pizza as both are at the shop often.
- Operating hand & power tools to systematically remove and reassemble vehicle components.
- Using computers and repair literature to research, understand, and diagnose various vehicle systems of many types and ages.
- Being organized – like make your bed every day and seldom miss birthdays kinda person.
- Managing your time efficiently, and being humble with your limitations.
It would be sweet (but not necessary), if you also have:
- Trophies in bowling or kayaking as we occasionally enjoy these for team outings.
- Formal training in motorcycle or automotive repair.
- A motorcycle license/riding experience.
Benefits:

- Hourly, $17.50-$22.00/hr, based on education & experience.
- Time-and-a-half overtime pay after 40hrs.

logistics:
- Flexible schedule, 35-45 hours (4 or 5 days) weekly.
- This role is on-site, so you’ll need to commute to our facility.
- You will report directly to the technical supervisor.
- Position available: immediately.
